For cheap but delicious food I recommend the pork or chicken gyros at Yankos shack in Adamas next to the bus stop.
7-8 euro for a gyros and a beer. One for lunch and one for dinner is all you need. And for breakfast, try the whole/full fat (6.5g) goat’s milk yougurt (with or without honey and nuts). It is soo delicious.

 Also. If you plan on going by ferry I highly recommend the Seajet Catamaran service. Much faster than regular ferry and well worth the extra cost. Milos is a lovely island.

Despite your weather issues, you came up with a very good list. Excluding Cabo Girao and Santana (too touristy) were fine moves. My only complaints (minor) are that Fanal should have been higher and we would have added the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Chapel (with its glorious views of the Sao Vicente valley). For first timers, you did well. We spent six weeks on the island last February and March and are planning to move to Madeira this summer. It really is an extraordinary island. There is so much to do and explore for a place that is the size of Singapore. We still haven’t experienced places like Porto Santo, the Valley of Nuns and the Achadas da Cruz cable car. But we will. ;-) Also, Paul do Mar may be (relatively) in the middle of nowhere but it really is a unique place. Glad you got to stay there.

Ok, so… dolphins. I’m a noob surfer out in the LA area. We get dolphins pretty regularly. Should I be concerned if those trouble makers are lingering around me? The visibility in the water is never that much, I just see the fins all around. lol it kinda freaks me out if I’m being honest. Should I not be? What’s up with dolphins?

Never mind Lisbon! The best place to retire is Sarawak! The Sarawakians (or is it the Sarawakanese?) are the most beautiful, friendly people on Earth - of Chinese ancestry - but with a British flavour (remember James Brooke - Rajah of Sarawak?) I visited there recently, and discovered a beautiful restaurant in the Sarawak Mall. It specialised in chicken! They had roast chicken, butter chicken, baked chicken, braised chicken, broiled, sautéed and fried chicken! For a small fee you could graze away to your heart’s content! Also, nearby was a brewery which created beers from the 17th century - set up by a local who had studied under one of German’s greatest Beer Meisters! I was in heaven! I arrived at around 1pm - at around 3 pm, as I was starting the second round of grazing - the friendly staff asked whether I’d like to pay another fee - I willingly complied. At around 7pm I wanted to leave, but for some reason my legs weren’t in operating condition - something to do with the undercarriage I presumed. Also, the beer had created some sort of optic disparity which impacted upon my focusing ability. A lesser man than me may have been embarrassed, but I felt I could handle the situation! I called the manager over, and offered to pay one of the waiters US$10 if he would be so kind as to provide me with some strength - so I could manage a power-assisted waddle back to my hotel some 300 metres away! This he readily agreed too. I thought I did very well - I only fell over twice, and the waiter, with the assistance of helpful passersby - managed to guide me to my hotel - where I arrived in good shape. Upon arrival their duty of care was taken over by the concierge; and with the assistance of two bellboys and a concerned guest - I made it back to my suite. Wonderful, friendly people - can’t speak too highly of them!

Such an american thing to say that you are nevative for sharing the reality of some of these tourist destinations. I am Romanian and things like this still happen in my country. Way less often now but used to happen all the time. Where there is poverty, people will try all kinds of things.

I am Egyptian and I would like to say something honestly. Firstly, Egypt is one of the developing countries, as we studied in geography. There will certainly be a group of people of poverty and ignorance who move from the countryside to attractive areas to make money, and this causes a kind of mixing between the slums and the tourist areas, so there must be no Someone would like to come and accept the reality because there are also a lot of really beautiful things in Egypt and the nice people are the residents themselves. So avoid the random areas and try to take someone with you to guide you to the upscale and beautiful areas, and frankly any place has advantages and disadvantages. I am an Egyptian, and I also face a lot of daily suffering like other people. However, there are many nice and educated people about whom you know nothing. And remember that Egypt is currently trying to develop and progress, such as the New Worlds area. It is one of the best areas for tourists, which indicates the future of Egypt.

What is the name of the park where you had the picnic by the Eiffel tower? Just a quick suggestion, it would be nice to maybe flash the name of the places you go. I love you both! So helpful ❤
